Product Description

An air purifier plastic cover's mold structure typically consists of several key components. The core and cavity are the fundamental parts. The cavity forms the outer shape of the cover, while the core creates the inner contours. These two components are precisely machined to ensure accurate replication of the design.

The gating system is crucial as it allows molten plastic to flow into the mold cavity. It includes the sprue, which connects to the injection molding machine, runners that distribute the plastic,  through which the plastic enters the cavity. Proper design of the gating system ensures uniform filling and minimizes defects like short shots or air traps.

Ejection mechanisms are installed to remove the cooled plastic cover from the mold after solidification. Ejector pins or sleeves push the part out gently to avoid damage. Additionally, cooling channels are integrated within the core and cavity. They circulate coolant, rapidly cooling the plastic, reducing cycle times, and improving part quality by preventing warping and ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy.
