PPSU exhibits excellent high-temperature resistance (up to 220°C), chemical stability, and biocompatibility, and is widely used in aerospace, medical, and food-grade applications. Its injection molds must withstand high injection pressures of 120-180 MPa and melt temperatures of 380°C. Key configurations include high-grade tool steels such as H13 (with a hardness of HRC 50-55, often treated with nitriding or DLC coating to enhance wear resistance and release properties). Precision-machined cavities/cores ensure tight tolerances of ±0.02 mm, while integrated baffle or conformal cooling channels address PPSU's slow solidification rate, reducing cycle times by 15-20%.
